Trade Show Content

Modus: One-Sheeter (PDF)

Content creation for two tradeshows Modus was attending. Modus needed a sheet to hand out at the booth, along with a separate contact sheet.

Sales Enablement, Simplifed.

Project Background

The ‘Modus: Sales Enablement App’ is a sales enablement solution that provides sales representatives with the tools they need to consume and share content, and measure its effectiveness with prospects in order to advance and close deals.

There were two tradeshows coming up that Modus was going to be at, which meant Modus needed a sheet to hand out at the booth, along with a separate contact sheet.

My Responsibilities

For this project, my job was to design the PDF that would be handed out at two tradeshows. The Marketing team provided all of the wording that was required to be on the sheet, my job was to figure out how to structure the wording, design the page, and provide imagery that could be used.

My main contributions to this work included research, ideation, sketches, design, and collaboration with the Marketing team.

My Design Process

This is the process I used during this project to ensure the end product was user-centered, intuitive, and easy to use. This process involves understanding the needs and behaviors of the users, identifying their pain points, and designing a solution that meets their needs, while also achieving the determined business goals.

It’s important to note that this design process is not always linear and may involve going back and forth between the steps to refine the design.

Define > Design > Develop > Repeat

Phase 1: Define + Research

1. Defined the Objectives and the Goals of the PDF

First, we defined the objectives and goals for the PDF, what success looks like, and what starting points to work off of.

Phase 2: Design + Prototype

1. Brainstormed, Collected Inspiration, and Created Mood Boards

I researched competitors, design websites, and looked different items up on google to get a good idea of current design trends and ways to call out content at trade shows.

2. Sketched It Out

After gathering design inspirations and reviewing research findings, I started to sketch out possibilities for the PDF layout until I had a good foundation to build on. Once I had sketched it out, I moved to the design.

3. Created Draft Concepts and Shared in Review Meetings

After creating some design drafts, I met with the Marketing to review them. This process happened several times to skim down the wording, adjust certain sections, and more.

4. Solidified the Final Design and Presented to Leadership

Once the final design was approved by Marketing, it was ready for review by the leadership team. Approved!

1. Handed the Files Off to Marketing

For this particular item, the Marketing team was in charge of figuring out printing and where to load it online.
